Oahu’s Triple D – Wahoo’s Fish Taco (Ward)
This is one of the few chains that we’ve visited while on the island. It was Patch that suggested coming here because it was before we discovered the local gems for fresh seafood (post on Uncle’s Fish Market & Grill coming up soon, full of dishes and reviews from there) but you know what, it was satisfying.
It’s located by the Ward Centre which I spent some time shopping and browsing in the shops. The menu is extensive with different combos for burritos, tacos and enchiladas.

Combo of one taco and burrito. Each combo comes with rice with ahi flakes, black beans (or spicy cajun white beans). Choice of fillings include: fish (wahoo?), chicken, carne asada, carnitas, mushrooms, or banzai veggies or full vegetarian.
The portions are HUGE. There’s plenty of everything and I would suggest eating the main stars of the plate first or else you will regret polishing off the beans and rice and not having enough room for the fish. For a chain, it tastes really fresh.
Tip: There’s a Buy 1, Get 1 Free coupon in the Hawaii Entertainment Book. Getting 2 plates would be enough to feed a family of 4 (parents and 2 kids). If you’re not sure, just give the kids all the rice! Haha!
