Oahu’s Triple D – Nanding’s Bakery

Once you've tried it, I promise that you will be just as excited as me when you peek into this bag of freshly baked spanish rolls.

Locals will definitely recommend this hole-in-the-wall Filipino bakery Nandings Bakery because of their awesome signature item – SPANISH ROLLS! These buttery soft rolls are small but they are super dangerous to calorie counters.  They just melt in your mouth especially when they are fresh out of the oven.

These photos are taken in the car because THEY DID NOT MAKE IT BACK TO THE HOTEL!!!

So soft when it's fresh. These are what I call bite size.

The definition of fluffy and light. The outer layer has a bit of a crunch.

I can’t tell you exactly what’s on the light crust because we gobbled them down so fast.  But trust me (if you’ve been following my Triple D segment, don’t you think we’ve established an online friendship here that you should trust me haha)… these rolls are really worth the trip to this bakery.  🙂

I dont know if you’re familiar with the Filipino pandesal, specifically Aling Mary’s hot off the oven pandesal. Tastewise it is very similar to the Spanish roll. Here’s a blogpost on it.

Aling Mary also has a branch in Richmond along Park Road.
